Latin and Classics Teachers of Maine,
You are cordially invited to the Maine Classical Association Spring Meeting on Saturday, May 30th, at Waterville High School.
We have an exciting deep-dive into pedagogy this spring. Mike Nerdhal will share game designs and strategies sure to boost engagement as we move into the last part of the school year. Following that, Ross Shaler will lead the group in a two-part series focusing on novellas. The first part will center around theory and implementation, while the second will be a practicum designed to give a hands-on look at how this method can work in the classroom.
We begin at 8:30 with refreshments, and our first session starts at 9:10. Following the speakers, we will have lunch together and then a business meeting, which everyone is welcome to attend but it is fine if you do not stay.
MCA registration is $20 (fall meeting attendees have already paid!) and lunch/refreshments are $15. The cost of registration is waived for first time guests! CEUs will be available for this event. Please RSVP by Thursday, May 21st. We look forward to seeing you!
