The Maine Classical Association will hold its Spring Meeting on Saturday, May 22nd, from 8:30 to 11:45 AM via Zoom, and registration is still open. Attendance is free, and CEUs will be available. You can register for the meeting HERE. Those who register will receive a Zoom link via email on Friday, the 21st.
The meeting will be structured around two reading sessions (one prose, one poetry) on Latin authors. The prose reading will be from Cornelius Nepos’ Vita Hannibalis (4-6), and Silius Italicus’ Punica XVII (370-405) will be the focus of the poetry session. Feel free to look these passages over before the meeting, though no preparation or prior knowledge of the texts is necessary.
You can review the Meeting Program HERE to find a more detailed schedule and information on the reading passages. Please email Ross Shaler with any questions. We hope to see you there!
