Mark your calendars: the MCA will be holding the Spring Meeting on Saturday, May 3rd. At this event we highlight the great work being done by classics educators in Maine and beyond. The emphasis is on pedagogy–classroom practices and course content. It’s a great time connecting with other educators and gaining valuable ideas to bring back to our own classrooms. Two items regarding this upcoming event.
Item one: hosting the Spring Meeting. Would you like to host this event at your school? The last two years it has taken place at North Yarmouth Academy and Freeport High School. If you are interested, we’d love to hear from you. Please email David Dyke ([email protected]) with the subject “Spring Meeting: Hosting” by January 15, 2025.
Item two: call for papers/presenters. Many teachers have expressed interest in speaking at the Spring Meeting. As we begin the planning process, we’d love to formally hear from our prospective presenters. Please email David Dyke ([email protected]) with the subject “Spring Meeting: Prospectus” and include a paragraph-length description of your talk by January 15, 2025.
